We provide resources for artists to learn their rights, and take the necessary steps to protect their works. We also lay a foundation for the future artists so that they don’t have to fight years down the line, they will start with the proper agreements in place to ensure that those that profit most from their art are them and their legacy.

ADVOCACY
Protecting Our Legacy is an advocate for the musical artist and their family. We provide legal support, professional guidance, consultations, and resources as artists work to shape their legacy. We connect our partners with lawyers for legal support. We provide financial support to artists as they navigate the processes of directing their legacy. We connect our clients with local partners and resources that can continue to assist them as they build and design their legacy. We support the family members of deceased artists to honor the wishes of their loved ones.

EDUCATION
The more you know about how the systems work, the better prepared you are to advocate for yourself. Protecting our Legacy provides educational opportunities for artists and their families to be able to prepare themselves to navigate the systems and access their rights and royalties as well as designate how they should be dispersed. We provide classes, conferences, workshops, and literature that will be available to the public.
